Vimaan is looking for a seasoned and skilled manager who will lead our IT function to support our internal stakeholders and lead a team of L1 and L2 engineers to provide world class customer support to our operations team and end users.

Responsibilities

• Lead large IT projects, including the design, deployment and maintenance of IT systems and services.
• Monitor performance, uptime and maintainability of IT systems to determine cost effectiveness and impact to productivity, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
• Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
• Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.
• Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software/
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
• Hire and manage team of IT engineers and L1 / L2 customer support engineers.
• Provide world class customer support to Vimaan operations team and to our end users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5 or more years of experience working in IT operations
• Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructure across various technologies
• Experience leading and managing a team of IT engineers and / or customer support engineers
• Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, and data storage systems
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
• Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

How to stand out

• Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP
• Experience with networking including firewalls, routers, switches, VLAN, IPSec, VPN, and other related technologies
• Experience with infrastructure security, network security, intrusion detection system, intrusion prevention system
• Experience working with Linux OS
• Experience working with VMware, KVM, or similar virtualization technology
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL
• Experience working with Azure, AWS and GCP
• Experience working with Ansible, Jenkins, JFrog
• Experience with NFS, NAS and SAN storage
• Self motivated and self managed
