Senior QA Engineer

VIMAAN is looking to hire a talented senior QA engineer to join our exceptional engineering team developing the next generation of information systems for the warehouse. You will work with cross-functional teams dispersed across time zones that includes full stack engineers, computer vision and machine learning engineers, firmware and hardware engineers, mechanical and electrical engineers to define, design, develop, qualify and deliver enterprise grade systems. You will be responsible for defining test plans and test cases, building and maintaining test automation framework and automated tests, and executing tests to qualify software releases.

Senior QA Engineer Responsibilities

• Work with the development team to define and enhance new and existing feature test plans and test cases

• Define, automate, execute and maintain new feature and regression test cases

• Define, automate, execute and maintain stress and performance tests

• Define, automate, execute and maintain API tests

• Develop test automation framework to bring efficiency to testing and improve quality of product

• Manage test execution plans, deploy software to test, project manage testing progress, report and track issues, help troubleshoot and root cause issues, qualify fixes and generate quality reports

• Review design documents, provide inputs on testability, and identify test requirements

• Work with release management and cross-functional teams dispersed across timezones that includes full stack engineers, computer vision and machine learning engineers, firmware and hardware engineers to qualify and deliver enterprise grade systems

• Define and improve quality processes

• Document and report quality metrics

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience

• Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, JMeter

• Expertise in scripting using shell scripts, Python, Perl or similar languages

• Experience in developing test automation frameworks

• Experience defining, automating and executing new feature and regression tests

• Experience defining, automating and executing stress and performance tests

• Experience testing API preferably using REST Assured

• Proficient in Ansible and using it for deploying software

• Experience in preparing Docker Container images and deploying them

• Experience with issue tracking systems such as Jira

• Experience with test case management systems like TestRail

• Experience with Continuous Integration and testing systems such as Gitlab and Jenkins

• Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow team members

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

How to Stand Out

• Experience with Cloud based, on-premise or hybrid SaaS, PaaS or Iaas product development

• Programming skills in a Linux environment using Java, C++ and/or C

• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, S3, and other Cloud technologies and infrastructure

• Experience with Containers, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Experience with Postgres or another relational database

• Good understanding of systems concepts including multithreading and concurrent systems, clustering and high availability, distributed data storage systems, backup, replication, and disaster recovery, object storage, NAS, NFS

• Experience with networking, application orchestration and large scale distributed data management systems

• Experience with products in Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML), robotics, and/or warehouse management systems (WMS)
